
Intern Position Openings - Summer 2026
As an intern at Financial Clarity by Design, you will gain valuable experience and exposure to the world of finance and wealth management. These internships offer an opportunity to work closely with experienced financial advisors and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of financial planning, investment analysis, client relationship management, and administrative tasks. These internships are designed to provide you with practical skills, industry knowledge, and professional development opportunities to kickstart your career in the financial services industry. These are summertime internships, which typically last around 3 months in duration; starting in the end of May when your semester ends and wrapping up around the end of August. Employment extensions into fall/winter are possible for the right candidates.
Financial Planning Internship Position Level 1 - Key Responsibilities:
- Client Services: Interact with clients to gather information, address inquiries, and provide assistance as needed. Learn to effectively communicate financial concepts and recommendations to clients.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, organizing files, and managing office logistics. Utilize office software and tools for documentation and record-keeping.
- Project Support: Participate in special projects or initiatives as assigned by the supervising financial advisors or management team. This may include market research, process improvement initiatives, or marketing efforts.
- Professional Development: Actively engage in learning opportunities provided by the firm, including training sessions, seminars, and networking events. Seek mentorship from experienced professionals to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Financial Planning Internship Position Level 2 - Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Financial Advisors: Provide support to financial advisors in preparing client meetings, including gathering necessary documents, conducting research, and preparing presentations.
- Data Analysis and Research: Assist in analyzing financial data, market trends, and investment opportunities. Conduct research on various financial products, investment strategies, and industry regulations.
- Financial Modeling: Aid in creating and maintaining financial models to analyze clients' financial situations, investment portfolios, retirement plans, and other financial goals.
- Professional Development: Actively engage in learning opportunities provided by the firm, including training sessions, seminars, and networking events. Seek mentorship from experienced professionals to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Marketing & Business Development Internship Position - Key Responsibilities:
- Help ensure consistent branding and messaging throughout all communication methods.
- Assist with social media content creations & scheduling.
- Design marketing materials using tools such as Canva, support client email communications, and maintain website and branding materials.
- Assist with event planning (client workshops, webinars, and appreciation events).
- Assist with scheduling, meeting preparation and administrative tasks.
- Help organize digital files and internal workflows.
- Work with executive leadership to monitor corporate strategic goals and track progress as well as track individual team goals.
- Client experience – serve as a professional point of contact for clients.
- Assist with special projects for the executive leadership team.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must be pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing/Advertising or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Must already be proficient in Microsoft Outlook Email, Windows file sharing/saving, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- (Canva, website design, and basic video editing is a plus for the Marketing Internship).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the financial services industry.
- Prior internship or relevant work experience in finance is a plus but not required.
These internships typically lasts 3 months with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
Compensation will include an hourly wage depending on the intern's level of experience.
